"I hat twiylit"

I just had to add this!
So darling little Addie was with us while we were making tshirts. She was having so much fun hanging out with the big girls. We hadn't really told her our plans for the night, because I knew she'd want to go to her cousin's house with us, and she always wants to go out with the big girls when we go do things. So I admit we were keeping her somewhat in the dark....or at least that was our hopes. BUT..you get a bunch of teenagers together and they talk. She eventually figured out what our plans were and she was not a happy little girl. I was suprised, though, when she didn't throw a tantrum. Her feelings were expressed in a different way. I present to you Addie's
"I hat twiylit" (aka I hate Twilight) tshirt!

Do I Dazzle You?

So Twilight the Movie came out on DVD at Midnight Friday night.
Do you want to guess who was at the front of the line?

The girls and I got together first to make Twilight tshirts. It was SO much fun. Then we went and bough junk food and headed up to my sister in law's home in Renton. Beth had invited a bunch of her friends over, too. She had prepared a fun Twilight Trivia Game with prizes! We ate, visited, read magazines with Twilight articles.
At 11:30 the girls and I drove up to the video store. There were 2 people inside and a parking lot full of people sitting in their cars. We headed into the store and got in line...all of the sudden there was this mad rush of people coming in from their cars. It was rather funny. We had copies already reserved...so right after midnight we picked up our copies and headed back to Beth's house.
Once back at the house we watched the DVD projected up on the wall. About 2:30 am we packed up and came back home.
Good Times!

A gift....for you....from me!!!

I've seen this on many of your blogs. I've wanted to respond. Who doesn't love getting a free homemade gift from a friend?!?! But I really haven't felt like I had time to do something creative to give in return. Well, I got greedy and responded to one...so now I'm posting my offering!

If you would like to be 1 of 6 lucky people to receive a homemade gift from me, please comment on this post. I'm not sure what the gift will be yet, but I'll try to make it good!

If you respond, then please offer to do the same on your blog. (If you've already done it...respond anyway! I don't care! I just want to give you something!)

Seeing Red.....Hair!

I decided it was time for a change. Something bold and out of the ordinary. So I had my friend, Lindsey, help me come up with a new plan for my hair. She helped me peruse websites until we found something we both liked.
Here are the results:

The Back:

I Love It!
It's just the change I was needing.

This day was destined to come sooner or later!

THE FIRST DATE!
Eunice was asked by a very nice young man to the Laurel/Priest Prom tonight. It's a formal dance held by the local stakes to serve as an alternative to the high school dances. It was so much fun to help her pick out her dress. Her friend Katie helped her pick out her jewelry and shoes. New hair was in order...so Lindsey gave her a few subtle red highlights and taught her this lovely new way to style her hair. She was able to borrow some finishing items from Kristi Ann and Tami. Thank you all for helping her put this whole look together. She looked so beautiful! Her date, Derick, brought her a beautiful coursage that was the cherry on top of the sundae! Here are a few pictures for you to enjoy.

52-52-52

The other day Addie frantically told me that I needed to dail 52-52-52! I had no idea what she was talking about. I pacified her with an "Okay, honey, in a minute" and then the excitement died away. WELL! This morning a commercial comes on TV and Addie yells, "MOMMY come quick, there it is! Dial 52-52-52 HURRY!". I run to her and there is a commercial inviting you to text your name and birthdate to this number to register to receive the name of your "perfect love". "See Mommy!", She says, "Dial 52-52-52 and they will tell you who your love is. You need to do that Mommy so that you can be happy, get married, and I can have my new Daddy." I just about cried. She is such a sweet girl! Oh, Addie, if only it worked that way.
